Community Recovery & Family Success Act (S2617/A4295)
This bill establishes the Council for Community Recovery and Family Success, a statewide effort focused on improving outcomes for children, families and communities across New Jersey through prevention, early support and coordinated community-based support services.
Rather than waiting to respond when a crisis occurs, the bill aims to shift New Jersey’s approach toward proactive, prevention-focused support systems to promote investments in family well-being, educational success, financial stability, health and community connection.
Under the legislation, community-based service networks would bring together schools, nonprofits, healthcare providers, local governments, businesses, parents and residents to identify local needs and develop coordinated solutions that help children and families thrive.
Through collaboration, local leadership and long-term investment in prevention-focused services, the bill seeks to improve outcomes for infants, children, youth and families throughout the state.
