The Family Success Institute Receives $250,000 Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Funding Will Strengthen Family Success Initiatives Across New Jersey
The Family Success Institute (FSI), a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families succeed and thrive, has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Building on RWJF’s initial investment in 2021, this two-year grant will advance FSI’s work to support transformative strategies for family success in communities throughout New Jersey.
FSI brings together parents, advocates, community members and professionals to elevate family voices and improve systems that support family success.
“We are grateful to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for their continued investment in our work,” said Tim Carden, Executive Director, FSI. “This funding allows us to deepen our relationships with residents and organizations statewide and to ensure that experiences and perspectives of New Jersey families inform policies and practices that affect their well-being.”
The grant will support FSI’s local initiatives by expanding outreach and education efforts and strengthening partnerships with residents, service and faith-based organizations, nonprofit and for-profit businesses, and government agencies. Funding will also support the continued growth of FSI’s Learning Community — a network of local leaders and advocates who meet to share information, experiences and inspiration and form positive strategies for collective impact, regional advocacy training and regional community forums.
“We remain dedicated to collaborating with our state leaders and elected officials to underscore the importance of investing in opportunities that allow every family in New Jersey to thrive,” said Tom Blatner, Co-founder of FSI and President of its Board of Directors. “This grant strengthens our ability to pursue our vision of well-being as a basic right for all families, not a privilege for some.”
