Hear Voices from the Virtual Rally for Residents’ Rights

More than 90 people joined us for our first ever virtual Rally for Residents’ Rights at a critical time in our nation and our state. As programs and supports are being cut, residents across New Jersey had the chance to raise their voices and speak about what is important to the success of their families and communities. We heard countless stories of struggle and strength – watch some of the testimonies below!

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, a longtime supporter of the Family Success Movement, joined our Rally to energize participants and urge them to keep pushing for a state and a nation where families are supported as they should be.

FSI has long worked with BRICK Education Networks, an organization that supports academic opportunities for youth in Newark’s South Ward. Alana Purkett, a single mother of eight from Newark, vociferously lent her support to both BRICK and the Family Success Movement, espousing the importance of the programs provided not just to her own children, but all children in the community.
